For New Zealand Fashion Week 2010, Sera Lilly lived up to the anticipatory hype and delivered a show, which, for all its thematic diversity, showed the designer has her finger right on the style pulse.

When the curtain dropped centre stage to reveal 44 models dressed top to toe in Sera Lilly creativity, it was romanticism meets Beyond the Border within a collection that was all about texture and accessories – think suede, sheep skin and Aztec wool contrasting delicate lace.
Aptly titled 'The Sisters of San Salvador,' Sera's Winter 2011 range didn't disappoint as she delivered her trademark cocktail attire and floor length gowns with boned bodices, tiered bodies and cinched waists. Flokati vests, bolero capes, backless sweetheart dresses paired ironically with Western Hats and romantic and tribal jewellery, added some continental soul to the collection.
